FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- No. 15 Arkansas won its 10th-straight match at Razorback Field on Thursday night, ending Missouris three-game unbeaten streak, 1-0, in a critical Southeastern Conference matchup with potential postseason implications. The victory was the Razorbacks fourth shutout win this season and also their seventh in league play, topping the previous mark of six games set during head coach Colby Hales inaugural season in 2012. With the win, Arkansas improved to 14-3-0 overall and 7-2-0 in the SEC, while Missouri dropped to 10-5-1 overall and 5-3-1 within the conference. It was a good performance. We broke the game down into some measurables and some things we could control, head coach Colby Hale said. We hit our targets and I think that showed both in our performance and the result. I thought we were very good limiting them to one shot in the first half. Missouri is a very good team and we knew theyd come out and test us. The game opened up a bit but we were able to grind out a 1-0 win. Well enjoy this and get ready for a good Kentucky team on Sunday.Junior defender Jessi Hartzler scored Arkansas lone goal of the match during the 81st minute of play. It was her seventh goal of the season and places her in a three-way tie for the team lead. Two other Razorbacks - senior Lindsey Mayo and freshman Kayla McKeon - also have seven goals on the year, followed by senior Claire Kelley and freshman Stefani Doyle who each have six goals. The Razorbacks held a decisive 24-13 advantage in shots and an 8-5 edge in corner kicks. Reigning SEC Freshman of the Week award recipient Sarah Luebbert was limited to only one shot in the contest. Luebbert currently leads the Tigers in goals (nine) and points (21).Senior goalkeeper Cameron Carter improved to 14-3-0 on the season, equaling her win total of 14 set during her freshman campaign.Arkansas plays its final home match of the 2016 season Sunday afternoon against Kentucky at 1 p.m. CT, before closing out the regular season on the road against LSU on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. CT. The Razorbacks are 3-1 against the Wildcats during coach Hales tenure dating back to 2012.SEC Tournament play begins Monday, Oct. 31 in Orange Beach, Alabama. Arkansas is currently ranked as a third seed within the group of 10 eligible teams.
