ortedly parted ways with manager Buck Showalter on Wednesday.Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported that Showalter will not be back with the O's "in any capacity" next season.USA Today's Bob Nightengale first reported on September 21 that Showalter was expected to be canned following the conclusion of the 2018 season. For the Orioles Austin Hedges Jersey , the move was a no-brainer.Baltimore was a major league-worst47-115this season andjoined the1962 New York Mets and 2003 Detroit Tigers as the only teams in the expansion era to win fewer than 50 games.Plus, Showalter was never a fit to lead the Orioles through what figures to be an extensive and arduous rebuild after Manny Machado, Zach Britton,Kevin Gausman,Darren O'Day andJonathan Schoop were all shipped out of town in advance of the trade deadline.Dan Szymborski of FanGraphs speculated that Showalter's relationship with general manager Dan Duquette may have played a role in his firing:Dan Szymborski DSzymborskiIm not surprised the Os are parting ways with Buck. I think you need a GM and a manager that are on the same page and its been increasingly apparent for the last six months that Duquette was more likely to stay.Showalter, 62, will now depart Baltimore with a669-684 recordacross eight seasons and change with the Orioles dating back to his installation as the club's manager midway through the 2010 campaign. All told, his career record sits at 1,551-1,517.The highlight of his time in Charm City came in 2014 when the Orioles went 96-66 Carlos Asuaje Jersey , captured the franchise's first American League East title since 1997 and made a run to the ALCS before their season was ended by the Kansas City Royals.Since then, the Orioles have managed one winning season as the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees re-established themselves as the class of the division.Showalter will now sit back and wait as spots open up in dugouts across MLB as he eyes a fresh start in a new locale. Trailing 6-1, the Dodgers rallied for four runs in the final two innings. Though they committed four errors and lost, LA had a lot of positives to take away, as they gained momentum heading into Game 2."Trailing 6-1 entering the eighth inning, the Dodgers looked deflated and overall outmatched. Through seven innings, LA had as many errors (3) as they did hits. Over the course of the final two innings, the Dodgers rallied back, scoring four runs, and had the tying run standing at third base with two outs in the ninth. Justin Turner http://www.padresfanproshop.com/authentic-brad-hand-jersey , the guy the Dodgers wanted in that spot, struck out for the fourth time of the game, and the Dodgers dropped Game 1, 6-5. NLCS Game 2 lineupsPosBrewersPosDodgersPosBrewersPosDodgersTime: 1:09 p.m. PT | TV: FOXThe great thing about baseball is the fact there’s a brand new game the very next day. Though they lost, the Dodgers have a lot positives to take away from the game. They made the Brewers bullpen work, and showed they are able to come back against them. Heading into Saturday’s contest, it’s almost as if the Dodgers are the team riding the momentum. Facing Wade Miley, the Dodgers will send out a lineup of only right-handed bats. It’s unsure how long this lineup will last, as Dave Roberts is expected to dig deep into the bench once Milwaukee turns to their bullpen. For Miley, he had arguably the best season of his career. The 31-year-old went 5-2 Matt Szczur Jersey , and owned a 2.57 ERA in 2018. Most notably, Austin Barnes — not Yasmani Grandal — gets the start behind the plate. Grandal had one of the worst performances from a catcher in postseason history last night. With multiple errors and passed balls, Grandal struggled drastically behind the plate. The Dodger backstop also owns a .095 average (6-for-63) in his postseason career. This will be the first appearance in the 2018 postseason for Barnes. It’s a different script for the 28-year-old, as he appeared in 15 games during last seasons postseason run. Though he was the starting catcher last year during the playoffs, Barnes struggled at the plate. He was 10-for-48 (.208 AVG). His eye at the plate carried over to the 2018 season, where he hit .205 with an OPS of .619. In his career against Miley, Barnes is 1-for-4, compared to Grandal, who is 3-for-13 with a home run. After starting every game so far, a game of rest was expected for Grandal sooner rather than later. Plus http://www.padresfanproshop.com/authentic-brad-hand-jersey , he gives Roberts a powerful bat off the bench later in the game, if needed. Also, take this for what it’s worth. Another notable name not on the lineup card is Cody Bellinger. Over the first five games of the postseason, Bellinger is 0-for-15 at the plate. He’s had some good hacks, including last night where he fell just short of hitting a home run. Bellinger’s postseason struggles stem back to last season, where he has a career .177 average in October. LA will send Hyun-Jin Ryu to the mound, where he’ll look to build off his stellar game one start. First pitch is at 1:09 p.m. PT on FOX.
