WOW Classic Gold The newly launched Blizzard game World of Warcraft Classic suffered a major DDoS attack this weekend. The attacks should have started on Saturday and caused a number of game servers to crack. Users were ejected from their gaming sessions and failed to log in while others complained of huge delays in the game.

On Saturday afternoon reports of problems began to pile up. On the game's official forum reddit and on social media players told that they had lost the connection to their server and that they either ended up in long queues or were not allowed to log in again at all.

DDoS attacks are short for Distributed Denial of Service and work by sending huge amounts of traffic to selected targets. It does not require any technical knowledge or hacking buy Vanilla WOW Gold and is thus considered the easiest online attack to do against a service.

Blizzard began to explore and eventually found that it was a so-called DDOS attack or service denial attack. A DDoS attack is basically about flooding the target's connection with network traffic to a point where the recipient goes down because they are unable to handle the traffic.

This weekend's attack on the World of Warcraft Classic servers should have started around 5pm Norwegian time on Saturday. A group called UKDrillas announced on Twitter that they should systematically go through the WoW Classic servers with their DDoS attacks. Their Twitter account is currently suspended from Twitter.
